Description

Tourism/Via Rail Building - The Via Rail building was built in 1969 by CN Rail and was opened until 1981.
The CNR occupied the upstairs in this building in the 1970's - 80's. And it was the carload center where the paper-work was done to go with freight trains in and out of Prince George.
At one point this building housed a tele-communications centre.
Initiatives Prince George and Tourism Prince George moved in, in 2002. Then Initiatives Prince George bought the building from CN and then the City of Prince George took over everything in 2015.
